Curious about world events? Interested in deeper conversations beyond the headlines? Join us this winter for a 4-session pilot of Great Decisions, the Foreign Policy Association’s award-winning discussion program.
We’ll meet every other week beginning in January to explore major global issues through short video introductions, structured small-group conversations, and the 2026 Great Decisions briefing book—provided free to all registered participants. Briefing books will be available for pick-up at the library prior to the first session, and advance reading of the first chapter is encouraged so we can begin with shared context.
This mini-series is designed to be:
Accessible: No prior knowledge needed
Engaging: Dialogue-focused, not lecture-based
Thoughtful: A chance to hear diverse perspectives in a respectful space
Your participation will also help us determine whether to bring the full 8-week program to Lyons in the future.
