After Wednesday evening's presentation, join Leslie Larson Thursday morning at Pella Crossing to put your new skills into action, identifying dragonflies and damsels. You will meet Leslie at Pella Crossing, not at the library.
Although dragonflies have been around for 300 million years, we are only now learning about these evolutionary miracles. Worldwide there are around 6500 species, but fortunately, here in Boulder County, we have a more manageable 73 and counting. Join us to learn how to differentiate dragonflies from damselflies, about their 3-stage life cycle, and some helpful clues to assist with field identification.
