Join us for a reading of impactful wildlife tales written by one of Greenwood Wildlife Center's licensed caretakers, Ingrid Thoenelt! In her book, A Place to Heal, she focuses on the deep connections between humans and animals that teach us lessons in kindness, patience, and compassion. Celebrate National Wildlife Rehabilitator Appreciation Day on March 10th with Read Aloud for Wildlife, in association with Greenwood Wildlife.

About the Author: Ingrid has been involved with animals her whole life. For the last seven years, she has volunteered and obtained her license to care for wildlife at Greenwood, specializing in waterfowl, such as ducks. Inspired by her time at the Center, she wrote the stories of her favorite wild patients. A friend pushed her to publish these stories. Ingrid became a published author in July 2022.
