Brought to you by the Lyons Creative District and Lyons Community Library, Bread & Poetry is a new monthly event for the whole community. This month’s theme explores how poetry and songwriting share common ground. Join our esteemed panel of songwriters as we investigate an original song from each based solely on its lyrical merits. As the finale, the songwriters will perform the song with musical accompaniment. How does music and melody expand our experience of the lyrics?
Ingrid Avison’s songs are inspired by grief, nature, love and the American condition.
Eben Grace writes stories of grit, love and redemption with melodies that will pull you in and fill your heart.
